Daily Doggie Tip #57

Although firework night is still 2 months away, anyone with a noise sensitive dog may want to start thinking about it now. There are CD’s that you can purchase online to allow you to try and ‘desensitise’ your dog to the noise of fireworks and thunderstorms. There are also aids such as the ‘Thunder shirt’ which is a coat that the dog wears, putting pressure in certain places and calming the dog down. You can also buy DAP diffusers that plug in and release pheromones, which also act to calm the dog. If all else fails, speak to your vet in good time, so that you can plan to have sedatives at home for 5th November.
